- Men’s Club

The CEC Men’s Club is open to all Gay Jewish men, their partners, friends and family, who are interested in meeting for social, educational, recreational, or spiritual events. We have monthly dinners on the first Friday of the month and also sponsor that night’s synagogue Oneg. Many enjoy our regular book reading discussions and pot luck dinners. Other events include Sunday brunches, theatre outings or art fairs. We are always open to any new and exciting social activities that the group may enjoy.

The club is affiliated with Etz Chaim, and many events are tied to CEC, but you do not need to be a member of CEC to join the men’s club. Annual dues are $25 for CEC members or $36 for not yet members. While most men’s club events are open to all, some are just for club members only, so it pays to join!

Men’s club events are posted here on the web site and the Facebook page, but click to send an email to Men’s Club president Michael Tublin to sign up for the men’s club e-mail update list and for any questions about joining or participating.

Get ready to have a Gay ol’ Time!

Men’s Club – Book Discussion Group 1/30

The CEC Men’s Club Book Discussion Group will meet at the synagogue on Sunday, January 30, at 10:30am to discuss

Foreskin’s Lament: A Memoir, by Shalom Auslander

“Shalom Auslander was raised with a terrified respect for God. Even as he grew up and was estranged from his community, his religion and its traditions, he could not find a way to a lofe where he didn’t struggle daily against God. “Foreskin’s Lament reveals Auslander’s ‘painfully, crippingly, incurably, miserably religious’ youth in a strict, socially isolated Orthodox community, and recounts his rebellion and efforts to make a new life apart from it. His combination of unrelenting humor and anger renders a rich and fascinating portrait of a man grappling with his faith and family”

Admission to the Men’s Club book discussion is free. Please bring a dairy or vegetarian breakfast dish to share. For more information email jesse monteagudo.
