Did Someone Mention Numbers! – 5/27

Remember this guy? – Count Von Count, from Sesame Street. His passion is numbers. He loves to count everything! OK, good for him, but what’s he doing here? – Well….this week’s ritual calendar finds us starting a new book in the Torah – the Book of Numbers! The Count is very excited about this, and hopes you’ll share his enthusiasm by joining us at our Torah service this Friday evening at 8:00. He’s counting on you to be there.

Movie Mogul – Walk On Water – 5/17

This award-winning film explores the motives, strengths, and ultimately the humanity of an Israeli assassin in the Israeli secret service.  Three very different people are thrust together in a thrilling triangle of murder, friendship, and fate.  The film is at 7 PM at the Synagogue.  Admission is Free.

37-Year Courtship Ends In Marriage – 5/16

After being together for 37 years, Murray Lichtenstein and Paul Guzzardo thought it was time to get married.  The ceremony was performed in the Town Hall of Salisbury, CT, on Monday, May 16, at 3:00 PM, in front of a small group of family and friends.

New Board of Directors Elected at Annual Meeting – 5/15

At the Annual Meeting of Congregation Etz Chaim, held on May 15, the following were elected to the Board of Directors:

David Yalen (president), Lauren Gultz (executive vice president), Lauren Gultz (treasurer), Daniela Mitrovic (secretary), John Kaboff (vp fundraising), Ellen Slavin (vp membership), Meir Hoberman (vp ritual), Naomi Siegel and Eliana Hall, (at-large), and continuing at large, Arthur Williams and Gloria Stein.  Michael Tublin will again represent the men’s club on the board as their president.
