Guest Chazzan/Cantor 2/18

We are pleased to announce that we will have a guest Chazzan for this Friday Night’s Service, Rabbi Aaron Katz. Our regular Cantorial Soloist, Michael Greenspan, will be off that evening. Rabbi Katz has had a distinguished international career, including a 14-year stint as the Chief Rabbi of Sweden. Now based in South Florida, we are able to take advantage of his talents, enthusiasm, and extensive knowledge of Judaism to enrich our Friday Night Service. We hope you will join us as we welcome in Shabbat. Services will be held at the synagogue at their regular time of 8 PM.

February Communal Shabbat Dinner 2/18

Join us on Friday, February 18th at 6:30pm, for a traditional Shabbat dinner before services at 8pm. In addition to our regular entree choices of roasted chicken or salmon, we can now offer a vegan entree of roasted vegetables over pasta. All entrees come with tossed salad, potato, and green vegetable.

The lovely TooJays catered dinner begins with Kiddush and HaMotzei. As we prepare for the evening service, we will sing the melodies that traditionally accompany the Shabbat dinner. A special dessert Oneg will follow the service for everyone.

Welcoming Shabbat together as a community brings a unique warmth that is physically and spiritually satisfying. We look forward to growing this tradition together.
